Taj india mumbai Taj, Government blame each other over 26/11 attacks The blame game over the Taj Hotel attack on 26/11 continues though Taj is all set to open a part of its hotel on Sunday. Taj management and the Maharashtra government criticise each other about the security lapses.

State Home Minister Jayant Patil saying that they had warned the hotel about possible attacks but the warnings were not taken seriously. He says that the Police had advised the Taj officials about a possible attack and asked them to put more metal detectors and iron gates on entrances. But the Government says that after some time, Taj told them they are a commercial organisation and that this inconveniences their guests.

Reacting to the Home Minister, a senior official from Taj said in a statement that the terrorist attacks were not just on hotels and restaurants.They were also at the CST, Nariman House and other sites and that hotels and other commercial establishments cannot prevent such intense offensive.
