MTNL starts 3G services in Delhi

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. on Thursday launched first 3G services in India. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh receiving a video call from Telecom Minister A Raja.
3G, is a next generation mobile technology, is already popular in China and in many European countries. In India it was delayed mainly due to the spectrum allocation issues.
3G offers wide range of new services like live television, high speed internet access, video phone, video chat etc. 3G is expected to create a new revolution in India's telecom sector.
