Usually, a month prior and post to release of a blockbuster flicks of superstars like Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth, producers and directors of medium and small budget films step back to releasing their films, due to drop in collections. But, now has started a new crisis where big-budget films are released in almost all the theaters in the city.
If Sivaji was released in 17 theatres, Dasavatharam hit the screens in 22 theatres. Well, producers and directors of low-budget films were eager to release their films after 50 days of Dasavatharam. But they were shocked to see that Rajnikanth starrer Kuselan to ready to hit the screens by this month end.
Now, it's a topsy-turvy situation for these producers on getting their films out of cans. 'Jayam Kondan', 'Saroja', 'Satyam' and many other films are lined up for release. But non availability of theatres has really dashed down the hopes of these producers and exhibitors.
