Trouble seems to be following Oscar Ravichandran, the producer and distributor of Kamal’s Dasavatharam. He is already facing trouble with the movie with Hindu outfits lodging case in the court that he has hurt their sentiments.
Its now trouble on the international front for the producer as the title of Ravichandran’s company - Oscar Films and official logo are in trouble. Since the title and logo of Oscar award are patented by Oscar Academy under international patent regulations, nobody has the rights to use the logo or title in any form worldwide. This is also mentioned in Oscar Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences official website.
Oscar Ravichandran has been using this logo for the past 15 years for all his movies. According to the industry buzz, Ravichandran might be asked to pay a huge amount as fine to the Oscar Academy.
Producer Oscar Ravichandran’s original name is Venu Ravichandran. His hits include Unnale Unnale, Anniyan and Rendu.
