Kannada activists are attacking the Tamils and caused considerable damage due to Hogenakkal water project.

Due to this Karnataka buses are getting stopped and Kannada boards are being tarred over. Property damage is also happening in some places.

Therefore, the residences of Kannada actors in Tamil Nadu including Rajini, Prakashraj, Murali and Arjun are provided with police security.

The police is also protecting the office of the Kannada organization in T.Nagar.
