Director Bharathiraja directs TV serial

Bharathiraja the veteran movie director will be entering the world of television with “Therkathi Ponnu”, a TV serial to be telecast in Kalignar TV. The buzz is that CM himself invited Bharathiraja to direct the serial.
Bharathiraja was the trend setter in taking the movie to villages and his realistic picturisation of Village life in movies like 16 vayathinile, Mudhal Mariyadhai, Karuththamma etc have been well appreciated. In Therkathi Ponnu he will make the TV Serials to move towards Villages.
The serial is all set to be televised from April 14, 2008 on Kalaignar TV.
