Addressing the crowd at the launch of his bilingual (Tamil and Telugu) film, directed by P.Vasu, Tamil superstar Rajanikanth seemed to have taken a not-so-subtle-dig at friend Mohan Babu.
He first said that on the advice of his close friend Mohan Babu he stayed put in Tamil films that helped him become the star that he is today. Continuing in the same vein Rajani said “I have a very good friend in Hyderabad who once advised me to stick to Tamil films as there was a lot of politics in the Telugu film industry. Then later when I got a chance to work in a Telugu film and was offered 1.5 acres of land in Jubilee Hills as part of my remuneration, my friend advised me against accepting it saying that the producer was betraying me. But now when ever I look at that place my heart aches in grief. Imagine 1.5 acres of land in Jubilee Hills” now one would wonder if the ‘close friend’ was the same who advised Rajani to stick to the Tamil industry.
