Ettappan, the movie starring Srikanth and Navya Nair has gone in for a name change. This movie a remake of the Kannada movie Buddhivantha, which stars Kannada star Upendra in the lead is a story of a protagonist with lot of negative shades.
In accordance with the negative shades of the hero, the movie was named Ettappan. But the people of Ettayapuram, have raised objection against the use of the title. The people of Ettayapuram feel strongly against the stroy that Ettappan betrayed Kattabomman and objected to Ettappan name being used to describe a traitor or one who cheats.
The crew of the movie have decided to respect the objection of the people of Ettayapuram and change the movie title from Ettappan to AVal Ullaththai.
Is this name change due to the objection of people of Ettayapuram or does it have something to do with Tamil Nadu state governments decision to give tax concession to only suitable Tamil titles. Only the crew of Ettappan oops Aval Ullaththai can give a honest answer!
