Trisha and Dhanush to act in the tamil remake of ‘Jab We Met’

According to sources, Moser Baer has plans to remake the bollywood candy floss hit Jab We Met (starring Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor) in Tamil.

The producers first choice for the hero was karthi while Trisha was approached to play the lead female. However, Karthi who came across as an action hero with his debut film Paruthiveeran seems to have turned down the offer.Hence, the role was passed on to Madhavan, for whom a special screening of the Hindi film was also arranged. But now, one hears that madhavan also has backed out of the project due to undisclosed reasons. In fact, Insiders say that its Dhanush, who has shown a keen interest in the remake of the film and he has already given his approval for it.

Interestingly, Trisha was retained as the heroine, despite many changes in the choice of heroes. The producer is very particular that Trisha plays the role of Kareena in this tamil remake. Meanwhile, Trisha krishnan is busy with Kuruvi ( the Vijay starrer) and has also committed to Vishnu's film Sarvam (with Arya). Similarly, Dhanush is nearing completion of Yaaradi Nee Mohini and has also signed a film for Vettrimaran. Hence, the dates for new remake are still being worked out.
