Director Balaji Sakthivel happened to shape up a good career for Sandhya and now its turn for him to focus on actress Thamna. Making her debut with the film KD, she didn’t have good credit rolling on her and in fact that were same with her second film Vyaapari. Now roped into Balaji Sakthivel’s Kalloori she says this flick is sure to be a milestone in her career and here she meets Tourin Talkies.Com to speak on her forthcoming Kalloori.

Things you learnt while shooting for Kalloori…
It was a great pleasure working with Director Balaji Sakthivel for he is somewhat different from others. Usually there are great directors who go lots of takes if an actor or actress doesn’t give what they expect, but Balaji is exceptional from this set of directors. He himself is a good actor for he just performs and shows what has to be done and that’s the reason why most of the difficult shots were canned with few takes. Also before shooting for the film I have heard others saying that he would scold the artists if he were not satisfied with the performance of artists. But I came to know it is all a false statement when I started to work with him. Well, it was an enjoyable moment working for this film and we didn’t know time passing away so soon. The shooting will be completed within this end of this month and film will hit the screens by next month.
Is it true that other star casts of this film are new faces?
Usually I would be junior among other actors while shooting for other film while for on the sets of Kalloori I am the senior. New face Akil plays lead role in this movie donning the role of college student and others too are new faces. Similar to Kadhal most of the artists in this film don’t have any basic knowledge about films.

Your characterization in Kalloori…
I perform the role of a girl who comes all the way from Bangalore to Dhindukal for college studies. It’s a homely character and no make-ups for me. The film centers on the happenings that take place during college days and I am supposed to reveal whether this film is about love or friendship. If I do so, Director would get angry with me and kill me (laughs).

About your future projects…
Already I have completed shooting for the Telugu flick Happy Days and that has witnessed good opening throughout all centers. I am pairing up with Vinay for Anada Thandavam directed by Gandhi Krishna. Apart from this, I have also signed for another Telugu film Dev where Nagarjuna’s son-in-law Prashanth performs lead role.
